Snowy,
your home is coming along really nicely. What color stain did you use for your stairs?

Gen: the stairs are maple and I think the stain was called Cappuccino.

one more question? is that a nine foot ceiling on your main floor is that why you have a transom over your garden door?

It does let in a lot of light eh?! The ceilings are 9ft on our main floor so your right.

Charisse: Did the security guard come around? We were told that if we went to the house that the security guard would follow us in and call the cops. I went there sunday after work and the door was open and I didn't see the security guard anywhere, but my husband said that he tried to go there and the door was locked and the security guard followed him all the way to the house. I think that the security guard just doesn't like him

hahaha, seriously? i went with my mom, sister and Aiden on Saturday and we all went into the house. no security guard came around, well I wasn't even paying attention, but I didn't seem to see one.

I went on a Friday once, with just Aiden and I wanted to go into the house so badly, but I didn't know if it was safe to bring Aiden into the house. A Mattamy "safety site" man saw me asked if I wanted to do in and took me on a tour of our house! SO NICE :) So I haven't had any problems with actually entering the house, hope I didn't just jinx myself!

We were out trying to visit ours on Sunday and we saw the security guard. He was looking at us from the road so I yelled 'hello' at him. He said 'hi' back and then turned and walked away. He didnt seem to care that I was standing on a porch trying to get in. Our house was locked up...all the doors. (maybe he knew that??) First time I havent been able to get in but I guess its for the best, its been so rainy and its all mud out there.

The house next to ours was open and their brand new white carpet had been installed. That just seems like a disaster waiting to happen there.
