HI everyone!

Does anyone know what is going to be built beyond Huddlestone Crescent/Jelinik Terrace?

Hi GeeKay

Huddlestone? Thats a new one to me. I have attached the status of draft plans for the area around Jelinek Terrace. I understand that Intracorp Homes to the north west (area 9) sales office should be open later this month where you can see more details on their plans.

Fieldgate has an area called Milcon One which is coming to the planning committee on Monday March 22nd with a technical report and recommendations for construction of similar single family detached homes later this year along with the relocation of Main St.W. and the new parks north of Main St. W. which should be built in a few years. (see attached initial report details and maps). I will be posting the report and others on the agenda later on Thursday March 18th when the reports are posted on the town website www.milton.ca.

Hope this helps, and where did you find the name Huddlestone from?

Colin that's great to hear about all those parks just north of new main. I was wondering if there have been any designs submitted for those parks yet.

I believe Huddlestone is the name of the street connecting to Jelinik Terrace (at the northern most point) and where the new neighborhood is going to be. It is a dead end right now, but they have the street name up.

Thanks Miltonisto and SP

There is no designs yet for the neighbourhood and district parks to be built north of the new Main St.W. they are in the Town capital budget for 2014 (see attached link page 240)

http://www.milton.ca/corpserv/budget10/ ... etails.pdf

A neighbourhood park typically has a soccer field, playground area and open space area similar to what is currently at other new locations such as on the east side of Scott just south of the Escarpment View school.

A district park serves the entire area and can included several soccer fields, lighted baseball diamonds, and other facilities similar to the Lions Sports park at the corner of Main and Thompson road.

The detailed designs are presented to the public for comment and ideas the year before construction similar to the process that approved the new Scott and Harrison parks which will be built this year.

Thanks for the information on Huddlestone SP we should be seeing more information on this area on the 22nd when this area is presented for approval.

Thank you Colin the info really helps. I was just curious to know what is going to be built behind my house. :)

Thanks SP for clearing the Huddlestone issue. That street is a definite dead end right now.
