Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone has any info on storage place in Milton. I found out a Company by the name of Mini Carefree Storage and was wondering if there are better rates. The rate for a 10x10 is $140:00 plus GST. Anything better than that?
Trini.

Carefree on Steels is probably your best bet in terms of costs since they have no perimeter security (they are not fenced in and gated, no cameras, no codes), but the owners do live on site.

There are other options, with such, but all more expensive.

I've used a few self-storage places over the years, and Carefree is pretty cheap on a dollar-for-dollar basis. Just all depends on how secure you want your stuff.

www.yellowpages.ca will list a bunch of self storage places for Milton.

I used www.safeselfstorage.com when my move happened. I was very happy with them and their service.

Unfortunately Safe Self Storage is not in Milton. They were nice and secure with gates codes, cameras, and 24 hour access.

Thanks,
I think SafeStorage is the best to go since I live near that area.

Milton Mini Storage has better security, but was only open until 8pm or something. Meaning.. you can only get at your stuff during their hours. Best to call and confirm.

I just picked up another unit at Carefree this week. (i have too much junk :)

If anyone is considering a storage place , I would recommend Public Storage.
They have locations all over and currently they are running a promo for $1 for the first month - no strings attached. Their prices are also cheap compared to others......
Check their website for more details

Just to follow this up, I wrote a small article on storage places and what you may want to look for.

I will be using carefree off of steeles. i have insurance on the unit and anything of valuse is coming with me to the in-laws. Big screen, stereo and all that stuff.

Moving from mississauga, I want to move my items as close as possible to my new house that closes in Feb.

I actually plan on going there tomorrow to get my unit (I was there 4 weeks ago) and slowly move stuff in there over the next 3 weeks.

Our wood furniture will get polished with pledge and shrink wrapped by my neighbour to help protect it during the summer and the hummidity.

Hmmmmmmmmm, I may actually go to Scannal too and check them out. Maybe put my wood furniture there and the rest at carefree.

I believe Carefree will store trailers, as I see a lot of them at the end of their property.
