We're hosting this (www.hawthornevillager.com) on a small toronto hosting company called Canaca (www.canaca.ca) which is very cheap and the service comes with multiple ftp accounts and high storage. The site only uses something like 1% of the storage capacity on the machine currently. So it wouldn't cost anything extra for anyone.

But then again, I think most people already have Rogers Wave, Cogeco, or other high speed internet access and most of those services include free websites anyways.

I think the reason why more people don't put websites up is they just don't have the time to learn HTML/FTP/Web-authoring software or do the posting, editing, etc....

Actually, I will be adding to BuildingHomes.ca the facility for people to upload their own pictures of their houses. All arranged, dated, and you can add comments to them.

Initially it will be set up for the neighbourhoods already covered, but as I get more maps drawn I'll add more builders.

No HTML required

Word of warning, there will more than likely be copyright issues with posting scanned images of their floor plans. Especially since they don't even post them themselves.
