I keep driving by The Olive Press on Dundas Rd in Oakvile and was thinking it might be a nice place to take my FIL next time he comes to visit. We've taken him to our favourite Milton haunts and have been curious about this place as a change.

Anyone been there? How do you rate it?

We've been twice and it's been good both times. I've heard some mixed reviews but we've had no concerns.

Prices are OK and the portions are huge. It seems to be consistently busy every weekend for the past couple of years so they must be doing something right.

yes, I would also recommend it. kind of like a nicer/better version of East Side Marios. it can be very busy on friday nights and not a lot of parking.

Why don't you try Spaducci's, the prices and food is excellent and there portions are really good also.

My husband and I have been there (and Brunello which is our personal favourite) and while we enjoy it the menu selection at the Olive Press seems to have more variations with more items along the lines of what my FIL likes, as well as atmosphere.

Thanks all for your feedback. Nice to hear good reviews. We normally just stick around town at family friendly haunts.

We drove by there on saturday evening, it was so busy the car park was full and people were parking on the street - usually a good sign.

We must have driven by around the same time :D . I noted the same thing. I suspected it might have something to do with the World Cup, but if that's regular Saturday evening traffic I agree it bodes well!

I love the Olive Press! The food is great and the atmosphere is nice. It's family owned and all the food has that homemade taste it's great :D

I dont understand your comment. What Italian restaurant in Milton serves authentic Italian food??
Every restaurant will take creative liberties with the food they prepare.
