This is a little device that takes the place of your floor vent cover and is hooked up to AC power to pull out the hot or cold air into a room faster. You can buy an inline fan from Home Depot for ~70 and do all the cutting and wiring yourself, or just buy a little booster for more than half the price and not make any modifications. Only draw back is you have to turn it on and off yourself. For me it is easly... I told my daughter that she turns it on when she gets home and I turn it off when "I" go to sleep.

If you make it to the 2006 Home and garden show at International Center this weekend Check out these two booths if you want a air booster fan, otherwise check out the companies directly.

The first booth I went to was the Electrovacs booth #178 Hall 1
PH #416-759-4313

They had a good deal on a Goodman air Con, but thats another story.

The booster you can see on the air conditioner costs $35 tax incl. I thought it wasn't a bad deal, so we bought it!

Another booth we happened upon was Air Xperts Booth #301 Hall 1(one of the first booths at the Airport Road enterance.
Toronto PH #416-766-6462 (or look at the picture for more #'s)

You can see the little booster in the background. Cost is $30 dollars (don't know if tax is in, but to compete I think it is). This is a show discount...Store prices are ~$55 probably add taxes to it as well.

Here is the Air Xperts flyer.

HERE IS MY installation: EASY as pie.

Booster fan is CSA inspected (But no label on actual fan) Air Xperts might have it ... if I remember correctly.

Front view of the fan...it is just a rotating blade.

Warrenty card with phone number and email address.

Installation Instructions:

My Instructions:
Step One. Remove vent cover
Image

Step Two. Slide back of unit into vent...switch is located to left side (air flow is forced away from wall).
Image

Step 3. Hide wire under baseboard, connect to AC receptacle and turn on.

Thats it, thats all.

Hope it helps.

Tim

Disclamer: I am not affiliated in any way with these companies. This posting I hope is for your benifit. And I give no guarenties that this will fix your "COLD" room problem.

To tell you the truth, I don't know. I only put it in last night at 10pm. And my daughter turned it off after I told her to leave it on.

All I can tell you is it really shoots out the air.

It does have a little of a noise factor...but any fan type device does.

According to Sandra the room is much warmer. I who walk around the house in shorts and T-shirts all winter long have no idea

Does it make other rooms cooler?
