I have to say, none of the floor plans were even close to worth those prices. I'd rather have a small house with a great floor plan then some of these behemoth houses with poor layouts.

always kills me when i see the pictures with a beautiful forest behind it and perfectly manicured lawn

truth be told the houses will probably be within 6-8 feet of each other with 1 tree or two at best

(not that it's news or anything, it just makes me chuckle)

just wanted to comment on your post. Is 6-8 feet good or bad. Because I just purchased an intracorp home in milton. So i just wanted to know what people are talking about on hawthorne villager, and now your post brought my attention. And if there is any other info other people want to know about intracorp in milton just send me a message.

It's really too bad Intracorp did not bring the same type of design they are currently constructing at their "Meadows in the Glen" site. My wife and I were excited when we found out that Intracorp was building homes in Milton, but when the designs were finally released we were disappointed. Ended up buying a beautiful Heathwood home instead so I guess it worked out for the better.

I'm also surprised at the price Intracorp is charging for 40' ft lots...you would think at these prices they would be offering at least 43' ft lots. Guess they are cashing in on the high demand to live in Milton.

Not that it really matters, but the illustrations of these homes are some of the worst I've ever seen. The perspective is terrible. Vanishing points? Hello?

Not to mention the huge tree lined lots that have been mentioned. But every builder shows their homes like that.

I didn't hate any of the layouts. I like how they manage to get 4 bedrooms in all of them...

Hi goose4greg.
yes they do have 100ft deep lots actually all of the lots do. So it would be 40x100 and yes you do get more land :D

Hi Rohit,
For new Milton, (and most GTA burbs the past 10 yrs) the standard is 8 feet, (4 feet of property owned by each side)

Some smaller homes are often built 6 feet apart, with 4' owned by one person (with gate access to backyard) and 2' owned by the other (no backyd access on that side)

For the backyard, most wide-shallow lots give te minimum 23' to the back fence, which means less than 50 feet between your house and the house directly behind you.

That said, a 100' deep lot guarantees you nothing, since it depends on how deep your house is. For instance, a 2800 sq ft house on a 36x100 lot will stretch far back and normally only leave you with 25-30feet of backyard anyway. House size, lot size, and placement dictate how big your backyard will be :)

Hi Fred,

My home that I just purchased is 2900sqft and it is on a 40ft lot. How much space would I get in my backyard and would I still be getting the standard 8ft away from each other?
