We are starting to get braver about bringing our little kids out for meals. I want to compile a list for myself about different restaurants that they can eat at for free. Any suggestions about where to go and on what nights? Do kids only eat dinners for free or can it be lunches?
Thanks!

Great thread to start.

East Side Marios - Mondays - not sure if it's all day Mondays or only for dinner on Mondays.

What she probably means is its hard and not to mention expensive to go out with a family with young children. So what if she wants to know where kids eat free. We hardly go out for dinner because of the cost and hassle with small kids. So if a kids meal is free, does it mean I am more likely to go? Of course it does. What exactly is the problem with that? I can tell you that my five year old has wasted more food than she has eaten in restaurants. I usually don't even order her a meal anymore, I let her pick off our plates. Quick now, someone jump on me for that!!! Tell me that's terrible. Why are people so quick to judge?? Get off your high horses about every little thing people post about on here. Its getting a bit ridiculous.

As someone with young children I totally got the OP's question. To add to your list, check Shoeless Joe's...I think they may offer that one night/week?

I just think that if you didn't agree with the wording of the question or thought is was a strange thing to want to know then you shouldn't have replied. You have forgotten there are lawyers on stand by? Aren't you the one who is quick to judge when someone asks a harmless question? I just jumped in because it is absurd that people cannot ask a simple question on this forum without someone making a negative comment. The great thing about this forum used to be that you could find answers, get advice, learn about the town, the community and such. Now if I have a question I won't bother posting it on here, too many people with too much time on their hands that love to twist a simple question into a topic of debate or judgement of some kind. The OP was looking for a place to eat with her family, nothing more.

Where is a good place where kids can eat healthy?

The wording is wrong... What do you mean by getting braver to take them so where can they eat free?

Also, this wouldn't have sounded so wrong if the question was simply:
Do you know of any kids eat free place...

Do you have kids? How many? What age are they?

As a mother of 3 boys, ages 9, 8 and 3 and in a one income household I would more then appreciate knowing where I could get free meals for my children. At least half the time, when we go out anywhere to eat, the children end up wasting what they order. Of course I'd like them to eat healthy, as well. As would most parents I would think. However, going out to enjoy the odd family night out is a treat, and in our family, is treated as such. Many chain sit down type restaurants that offer free meals for children also come with healthy menu options. For a family of 4 or more, that adds up to savings and may actually be comparable (and favorable health wise) in price to your average fast food joint. Worth knowing about... I think.

As to the OP's comment about being brave enough... unless you have been a parent of young children (more then one), you may not understand, just how much "bravery" is involved.

No one wants to be the parent in a quiet restaurant whose infant or young child is screaming the other patrons out...

Sheesh. Common Sense. If you don't like it... well, too bad.

I wish I had some answers to the OP's question. Since I don't, I'll be watching this thread to find out.

That about sums it up! I also recommend pubs too , with music and all the chatter a cranky baby's voice gets drowned out a bit easier :P

HAHAHA

Funny enough I was at Ned Devine yesterday with my 18months and 5 year old. We all sat on the upper deck and enjoyed the live music. My 18months old had a blast dancing. Guess what, these guys had colouring as well. Weird eh? I guess I wasn't the first parent to do so.

Mucho Burrito has Kids eat for free monday to friday after 4pm.

You have to get a drink with your order and the kids get one of the kids meal for free. It's a pretty good deal.

Please keep the thread on the OP's original topic.

i.e. avoid debating about healthy versus non healthy or going out versus staying home or getting personal. Sorry I removed a few posts based on some PMs I received, some of the posts I removed did *not* have any complaints or issues with them at all but were replies to posts that got deleted so to avoid a 'disjointed' thread I removed them as well

According to Gold Book, Wild Wing has kids eat free specials with the purchase of an adult meal.

If you are a member of the Milton Moms site there is a coupon you can print for a kids free meal with the purchase of an adult meal.

I think that's for Shoeless Joes, right? We've taken advantage of that one a few times. Somewhat related, I've never had a meal that I didn't like at Shoeless...love that place!
