That makes me sick.

Heaven help me if I ever have a child who is either a bully or the bullied. Heads will roll.

I was brought up with empathy and understanding towards those that were different from me. My mom would always say "Don't judge a book by it's cover. You don't know what these people have to go through, put yourself in their shoes." and I did.
I stood up to bullies in my schools even though I wasn't the one being picked on. It's not right, and I think parents and schools should enforce the fact that they will not stand for this type of behaviour.

I agree with this. It's the root of a lot of the problems we see in our schools. It begs the question then....why the hell do some people procreate?

Should I have empathy towards someone bullying my child, or my child being a bully?
