Disgusting! Sickens me to think of those poor innocent foreigners who fall prey to these sadistic individuals.

He should be sentenced to jail in one of their countries.

Wow. What darkness lurks in our own backyard. I used to think "break-ins" into unlocked cars was the worst of our worries. As a mother, to know he lived amongst us, just scares the heck out of me.

P&A...where did you get the sense that it was "foreigners" involved? There was only mention of Southern Ontario.

Well, I do not know details of this case but human trafficking is typically foreigners who do not know any better.

My cousin works for the RCMP so i hear some stories. Very sad.

Well with offences like kidnapping, sexual assault and human trafficking and the fact that he's 25 years old leads me to believe that it was probably young girls being sold for sex.

i.e. the idiot thought he was a pimp.

This whole thing went down on my street yesterday. Cops and investigators everywhere - 3 doors down from my street.

You can never know your neighbors enough.

Put this guy away and throw away the key.

Although the media might portray this happening to "foreigners" in movies and television, sadly, there is human trafficking happening to those born here - particularly to the young and vulnerable. These things happen in every community. It's great that he has been arrested but I'm sure he didn't work alone and I hope more are found and arrested.

How could anyone "not know any better"?! We are talking kidnapping and sexual assault.  I'm pretty sure they knew better.

Yes I have to agree, this happens to all types of children. I remember an article of a girl who lives in Mississauga (born and raised) has been Missing for over 2 years now. They think she is in a human traffic ring in Mississauga. The way they explained it in the article is, they prey on young teens, any teen. The assaulter is usually a young man, they become their boyfriend, slowly get them involved in drugs, keep them out at night, changing the child behavior. Then one night they lock them up in an apartment or house never to be seen by the public again. The parents don't have much to give to the police cause their child has become unpredictable, by the time the parent report the child missing and the police confirm it. The child would have been missing for a while, leaving it hard to trace tracks and then she magically disappears, vanishes, there are no traces. She willingly enters a home with her boyfriend there is nothing suspicious for anyone see. By the time they air the missing teen 2 weeks later, no one remembers a girl entering a house. This is how they traffic Canadian raised children. Immigration children is another story. Both are very sad stories and our laws do not protect any of these children. When and if caught the men get a slap on the wrist and walk, meanwhile the girls lives are destroyed.
I can not understand how the men who use these services can live with themselves. GRRR...

Alot of foreign women are promised jobs in U.S., Canada, Israel, etc that are from countries such as Phillipines and former Eastern Block countries. They think they will be nannies, models, etc and instead are forced to become strippers and hookers. It is a huge problem...

Not to mention all the Canadian born children & teens who are vulnerable to predators such as pimps, etc.
