What kind of butt heads put up all these new signs but no warning signs about the new ones?? Makes it more dangerous than without the signs. They did the same on Derry when they dropped the speed to 60, they just changed it, no temporary flshing light or warning sign....

At least there are stop blocks now as well!

Matt

First post! Love this forum!

I'd also be in favour of speed bumps along Yates Drive, which is a main route to Thompson. Cars fly by there with no regard to pedestrians or other vehicles. I do not have any children myself, but a few of my neighbours have small children. I fear there will come a day when one is hit by one of these idiots.

I hope you should start seeing a significant drop in traffic volume on Yates now that Clark and Bennet is a 4-way stop. I, for one, will contribute to it, 4 less trips on Yates almost daily.

Do you really think it will make a difference on Yates? I live on Yates and would love any reduction in the amount of cars using it---- Please try Clarke its really a great street!

I really do so. I'm using myself as an example:

I travel round trip from HV to Ontario and derry almost twice daily. I chose the Clark-Bennett-yates-Thompson route because I did not want to wait on Bennett traffic to be able to continue in Clark. It would make my trip longer and most of the time I'm late (I do not spead on any street in HV).

Starting yesterday, Bennett and yates are not part of my route.

As soon as Thompson reconstruction is complete, Yates will only be used by local traffic and not as a through street (with the ususal exceptions).
