Oooooh, I love toilet humour.

There's a transverse rod on most seats that holds the seat and lid together so they can go up and down. Maybe yours is coming loose, or broke somewhere? Check that out if the threads are just fine.

Toilet seats are funny. All the HV homes have the white plastic ones, but I remember as a kid growing up in the 1980s, there were all kinds of bizarres ones you don't see anymore today like wooden seats of all types of wood, and vinyl....padded ones that match the porcelain of the toilet with 1960s and 1970s era colours like dark pastel green, pink, tan, sky-blue, or very appropriately, yellow and brown.

I think it's the cheap plastic bolts and nuts that are used. We've got the same problem. I've wondered if changing the nut and bolt set to metal ones like the older toilets had would work.

Ah yes, coloured toilets. My parents used to have mauve, olive green, and puke yellow ones in their 3 baths. The puke yellow one and matching sink is still there, but soon to be replaced. My in-laws have a mint green one and a puke yellow one.

Wow, mauve, really? I've never seen a mauve john before, poor you. Puke yellow I've seen though.

Do you live on Freeman Trail? That's a nice street with lots of nice exterior upgrades on most homes and many nice cars.
