So a girl is texting, walks into and falls into a fountain and wants to sue! Question is, how much will she get? :roll:

The Yanks are just nuts when it comes to lawsuits... Are you kidding me?

Here's the next step ... counter sue as witnessing the fall made my heart skip a beat leading to increased anxiety and re-occuring nightmares of the fall in a constant 10 second loop - Everytime I look at a water fountain now, I cringe and breakdown and cry until the ducts are dry...

... I hope this kind of stuff does not happen in Canada...

The reason she's suing is not because she fell in the fountain [which is pretty damn funny] but because its the mall security team releasing this video out to the public. Now whether she has enough grounds to base a lawsuit on is the question.

yeah i doubt she'll get anything though. Not like you can make out her face or nametag or anything, could be anyone.

By launching the lawsuit, everybody knows she's the idiot now. Should have just laid low for a while

I wonder if her lawyer is going to burst out laughing in front of her when he sees the video, or if we will be able to remain professional.

This article gives some back story on why she might be so quick to go public and launch a lawsuit. Apparently she has had some financial trouble as a result of stealing someone's credit card and there's speculation she staged the fall. I hope her case gets laughed out of court.

Gotta love the legal system in the states... would love to see that case in front of a judge- I'm sure they'll get a good kick out of it.

It just makes me mad that lowlifes like her clog up the court system. I saw her in an interview and couldn't believe how nervy she was, no sense of shame at all.
