Hi Prayagrajexpress and other posters

Yes I went this morning along with the Mayor, sports centre staff and Move More Milton walkers to officially open the track. Great track with a view of the escarpment on one side and a good place to watch hockey games and figure skating and a cool walk, run or stroll around the track.

August is free with the fee of $ 5 annually starting in September. The three lanes are for walking, striding and running the faster lanes on the outside and the distance is about 5 laps for a kilometre. You can even take your young children in a stroller. Only a few regulations, no street shoes and follow the directions for clockwise and counterclockwise days.

The two rinks are almost finished with the ice being installed later this month and the new pools, multi-purpose gyms and meeting rooms open later this fall. Check the Fall & Winter leisure guide out this Thursday for more information.

Also the two new high schools should have the their tracks open in 2012 for the new public high school at 4th Line and Louis St. Laurent and later in 2013 for the new Catholic high school at the south-east corner of Bronte and Louis St. Laurent where the servicing and grading work is going on now.

Local & regional councillor
Wards 2,3,4,5, North of Derry road.

This is going to be great, finally no more trying to run on snow covered roads in the winter. I can see this track not being used too much in the summer but being very busy from November to March.
