Hi there,
just wanted to see who our neighbours will be. We are lot# 239 on Syndenham Lane. Looking forward to that great neighbourhood.

Hi Christina, my family will be joining you on Syndenham Lane. We purchased lot 191 and will not close until October of 2012.

What 43' model did you go for?

When is your closing?

Congratulations!

Hi Bridgett, this is awesome that I get to meet my neighbour and we just purchased our home on Sunday!

Your lot is not too shabby as well ... plus if I am not mistaken yours is a walkout.

We have two young daughters (an almost 4 year old and a 1.5 year old), how old are your boys?

Congrats again.

Yeah, it's good to hear that I am not leaving a child friendly street for one that isn't. Our house isn't a walkout it is a lookout which is half up and half down. We were really debating between ours and yours on the weekend.

We ended up going with a Juneberry, elevation A.

Time should fly by until October of next year.

When I went in for my appointment this weekend, I noticed that most if not all of the premium lots were sold in our area (except for the standard lots backing onto greenspace with walkout). There were quite a few regular 43' and 50' lots remaining but that should disappear quickly as there were a few looking to change from a 36' to a 43' this weekend.

Hi Christina - We purchased Lot 255 on Lear Gate so it is very close to Syndenham Lane! It will be nice to meet people face to face one day :)

Hi Rachel, congratulations on your purchase, what model did you end up choosing? When is your projected closing date?

Have a great week!

Hi Dan! Thank you, same to you as well :) Your lot is very beautiful by the way. We purchased Plan 13 Elevation C, they said closing is July 2012 but I have a good feeling it will be delayed. What about you?

Thanks for the compliment about the lot, but as everything else it comes at a steep price :)

I haven't seen Mattamy delay too many of their developments so I have a feeling that it will be pretty close to July for you. We are the end of the phase so our closing date is October 2012, they told us that they would not break ground until June 2012 ... So I'm a little envious of your closing date to say the least. It'll fly by I'm sure.

Congrats again, it looks like a nice little section of the phase.

From what I remember on Saturday most if not all the walkouts were still available in both the 43 and 50 foot models. I'm not sure they will sell that quickly as many people cannot afford the prices of the bigger homes let alone the 50k premium for the walkout.

Only time will tell.

Hey Bridge, when I went in to pick up our completed contract and our achitect choice upgrades I noticed that lot 190, 191 (mine), 192 (yours) and lot 193 were all sold ... so we are officially surrounded on both sides. I guess we'll wait and see who our neighbors are.

Hi Christina, Dan, Bridgett, Rachel and everyone else in the neighbourhood,

Congratulations to everyone for the purchase of your new home . My wife and I have signed the papers on late last week for plot 196, backyard facing the channel and a park. We have selected the model, Shadebush, Elevation C with walk out basement, closing date Jan 17, 2013.

We have two beautiful daughters aged 6 and 8. We all are very excited and waiting for Jan 2013. The best part I like about this neighbourhood is the noise free, quiet street.

Today when I visited the Mattamy sales office again I found Lot # 193, 194, 195, 198, 199, 201 to 206 ( 43” lots ) were all still available. I think these lots would take some time to be fill-up mainly because of extra price. Most of the 50 “lot facing the park and channel were gone.

Congrats again, hope to meet you all soon.

Alok

Hey Alok, welcome to the area and congratulations! The quiet street idea is something my wife and I have been particularly worried about as we currently live on a circle (they are few and far between nowadays) and are moving to a far busier Lane atmosphere, hopefully it will not be that bad.

Just out of curiousity, I was wondering what made you chose one walkout lot versus another, as most are fairly similar. Is it the aspect? View? Location?

You are absolutely right about the time it'll take to sell those premium lots, but rest assured they will sell at the 50k asking price.

Congratulations again.

PS ... To all of my Syndenham Lane neighbors I have put forth an inquiry into the city asking about the location of sidewalks and hydro boxes and will let you know once I hear.
