Is Mattamy building a privacy fence for you guys at the back?? If there is no fence when you move in it would make me anxious. If there's a decent enough wood fence in place at least there's a barrier. But 1ft is pretty close!

they will close it off.. the day when 3-4 years old start disappearing from the backyard..

whoever designed it and approved it, didn't think about the houses.. i've never seen such proximity to any backyard..

Yeah, I don't think I've seen anything that close before. Does the engineering dept give you any way to dispute?

You should ask the engineering dept who you could talk to, they would be who I call first.

Sooo.. I called them and told my concern about the walkway and was told that it's town property and I should have done some homework...

(Not to trust mattamy??)

I also asked , if I need town's permission to widen my driveway... hez like.. seee you bought the wrong house

You should have bought house with double drive way if you have 3 cars (in case if my brother move with me).. lol..

Nice of him to share his opinion

Hope you get a nice fence in the backyard!!

I do think you need a permit to widen your driveway in Milton, unless you have a small car you can park parallel to the road in the small piece of your driveway....

We will be at Mattamy U tonight! We are in block 78 with a closing of February..

My friend lives close to Cavanagh on Lieterman and backs onto the "pond" storm water management and she has a chain link fence.. they apparently do not put wood fences on any homes backing onto SWM, just chain-link...

Also they widened their driveway without a permit and was told by the city that that was fine as long as frontage is at least 34 feet ... check out their driveway when in the area on Lieterman - they back onto the storm water management (south side) and are close to the crossing of Lieterman and Dice Way..[/b]

Hello all! Just wondering if everyone's close date has been pushed back? I don't close until August but just wondering if anyone who closes earlier has received a delay notice? Trying to figure out when to list my current house. Thanks! Looking forward to move-in date!

CHEERS!
