Hi there,
We purchased a green brier, and the fireplace is located between 2 large windows. We are planning to put our tv above the fireplace, however we dont know where we should have the wires go to, as we need to place our cable box, and dvd player somewhere.
Does anyone have any suggestions/ photos of what they have done with this issue??

thanks for the help!

I currently reside in the Snowberry Model home which is quite similar in that the fireplace is situated between two windows. I have my wall mounted television above the fireplace. I had Mattamy run a conduet down to underneath one of the windows. I then purchased two media cabinets (one for each side so that it would look balanced and these were not easy to find) and put the media equipment in the cabinet. I purchased the media cabinets from Sony Store.

Thanks so much for that suggestion. I think that is what we are leaning towards doing. I dont know if it is too much trouble, but would you be able to take a picture of the setup you have, and the cabinets you found. Its hard to imagine/ decide without seeing some pics, and nobody else has really replied.
I guess the cabinets limit you from hanging drapes on those windows.

thanks again

Our fireplace is flanked by 2 doorways. We just ran a conduit to the left side that had space for a table for all our media devices.

We had everything wired up for the basement and used a Logitech harmony remote with extenders to control our devices. The plus side is our living room is clutter free and no need for cabinets, the downside is every time you want to put a dvd or blu-ray in the player you have to go down to the basement to do it.

Of course this Christmas I bought a Western Digital Live Tv Hub to store/stream my downloaded stuff and streaming Netflix rounds out the rest. So now I doubt I will need to go to the basement very often.

The only issue that really remains is that I converted the Den into a home theater w/projector and the wife has her TV mounted over the fireplace in the living room and we only have one remote.
