Finally...a neighbour! We don't live on Zelinsky Crescent, but on Thompson. We're kinda neighbours...our backyards meet. We're block 229 #2. We can wave to each other from our back doors! We close February 22nd. I heard on this forum that building is going to start in October. Can't wait! We're watching our mailbox for the Mattamy University invite. Maybe we'll meet you there!

Hi Jasmin,

I actually called the design centre and told them that I was closing in May/07 and hadn't had my 1st appointment yet. They forwarded me to a lady by the name of Alkie (sp??) She told me that she would let my DC know that I called and within a couple of hrs my DC called back. We had our 1st appointment last Friday and our 2nd appoinment is on 06Nov06. I don't know when we would have had our appointment if I hadn't called. Give that a try and hopefully you will be on your way.

We close on March 1st, and we've had both our appointments already. One was in August and the other was in September. Now that they changed the cabinet supplier, we'll be having a 3rd appointment on Monday.

Has there been any definite word that they are running behind schedule?

Just tell them that you purchased a new home in Milton and would like to know the address. They will ask you for your street name and Lot #. They will then give you your address right over the phone.

Hi Everyone, I'm not on Zelinsky, but Gifford, the street the carries across Johnson- is it. I can't remember. I don't close until July 07, and have had Mattamy U and have already finished all the structural and design upgrades & they have given me my address and street layout.

I don't know the reasoning behind all this as I close several months afterwards....aww well. It was a fun experience, hopefully you get your appts soon!!

How's your house coming along? When do you close again?

Did anyone else on our street get delayed?

Yes, we got delayed by two weeks. We had our framewalk last week and the house is bricked, shingled and all the heating, electrical & plumming was in. It was ready for insulation and drywall. Don't know why they delayed us. All they said is that it was due to weather which is total BS. We've only had great weather since the framewalk.

We actually got the letter by registered mail today. We were supposed to clos on MAy 3rd now it's been pushed back to May 17. If it was my husband & I it wouldn't be so bad but, I have 3 kids under the age of 10. So needless to say I am a bit ticked. We asked aour builder when we did the framewalk last Wed and he said everything is on sked. So really I don't know what the hell is up with them. (excuse the frustration)
