Finally had our appointment for exterior chooses this past Saturday. :)

I am surprise. I have received an e-mail from Mattamy stating my home is under construction on Pozbou crescent and my closing date won’t be until the end of September. I have called them to require a pre-construction meeting. I think it’s very important to talk to them before they start the process. I didn’t have any invitation to attend Mattamy University. Let me know if you have received the same e-mail (Phase 3).

Yes, we got the invitation for Mattamy U on March 01

Our closing in on May29th. I checked last weekend, our house is under construction. But I never had any "pre-construction" appointments except one to choose brick color.
What is "pre-construction appointment"? Can anyone explain?

Hi Gami,

Before the construction, Mattamy call Homeowners to explain the process and they reviewed your choices with you. That gives you the possibility to discuss with them and to ask them some questions. They did it when we bought our previous home. I don't really know why they do things differently right now.

Could you let me know if you got you first choice of brick color.

Confirmed with city engineering plans last night at Mattamy U that there will NOT be a side walk along the north side of Pozbou. Green utility box is on lukcy Lot 104.

Hey,
My lot# is 116. How do I find out if I am on the north or South side of Pozbou Cres? Cause apparently as per the message above me there will be no sidewalk along the north side of pozbou. I am very curious and would like to find out. Thanks

You are on the south side of Pozbou! You will have a sidewalk.

Can anyone tell me if brickwork has started on Lot 137? I am Lot 136 and the framing of my house will start when the bricks are in on 137. Yes, my house is a fire break house!

Surely, when you signed your agreement you knew which side of the street you purchased your lot on by referencing the lot map.

Alot of work has started on this street, it's in your best interest to physically go see for yourself! Be wary, it is a muddy mess.

Hello First Lady!

No the brick work hasn't started yet. We had our frame walk on Thursday and he said that will begin sometime mid-march... I was wondering why your house hadn't began framing! You are closing in July right?

Yes Lna.
We close on July 19th. We were told that as soon as the brickwork is finished on 137, they will start on our framing! The reason being that every few houses, they would leave a space to avoid fire spreading in case there is one. As soon as your brick is in, our house would be started.
:o

Thank you for the info. This is good news which means our house will be closing on time.
Nan, are you one of my future neighbors?
