Spoke to Gary this morning and it looks like I'm going to be delayed by 4 weeks! ... my closing date will be July 19th (from June 21) ... I should be getting the official delay later soon ... speechless

Now did they give you notice by the 3 month mark or not. I bet you'll get a letter dated a day b4 your 3 month mark. In any case, contact your lawyer b/c he/she will know the "fine print".

Greg

The 3 month mark will be next week, March 21st, so I guess the official letter should be coming soon ... on the plus side, he said they will begin my excavation on Monday, which is good to finally freakin know! ... I guess it's better than indefinitely waiting for them to start ... I hope they really do start on Monday cus I wanna see some action!

Hi Wettlaufers!

Went to the site this afternoon and I was very happy to see the progress on our street AND that I finally have a basement! ...

I did a little walk-through video of our street ... I apologise for the poor quality ... it was recorded on a cloudy day, on my iPhone, and a videographer I am not! lol

Hi Nadine,

Although I'll be moving into Jelinik, it was nice to see the neighbourhood taking shape, thanks for sharing your video.

Just did our framewalk this morning. Everything was going very well. Some good news:
1. Mattamy is using thicker subfloor than they used before. We did not ask how thick it is but we did notice that when our subfloor got in (eye measurement) compared with those used in our current house.
2. Mattamy does screw the subfloor before putting on carpet. They did not do that before.

Hi Guys!

I’ve been recently gathering quotes from movers and the cheapest quote so far is $800 from Affordable Movers. I’ve checked out a few recommendations from this site, but I would like to know if anyone from my future street has any recommendations. I require a small move from my current place in Mississauga and a large move (aprox. 50 items including all major appliances) from Direct Buy in Mississauga.

Thanks!!!

You're well ahead of me - haven't even begun thinking about this yet. Guess maybe I should start.

Lol ... for budgeting purposes I need a ballpark figure of moving costs ... plus, apparently July is a busy time for the moving companies, so I want to make sure I'm not doing any last minute scrambles to find someone.

So far the average quote is $1300 ... I'm hoping to find a reputable company for less ...

It’s my understanding that many of the Milton streets are named after past/present farmers of Milton and past/present influential people of Milton ... I think that’s a great idea!

... I'm sure there's A LOT more about the Wettlaufers ... looking forward to learning more ...

Unfortunately one side of basement concrete wall of lot # 77 has been torn done and is rebuilding.

Mattamy doesn't use concrete iron for basement wall as well as other builders. If they use concrete iron, it may prevent wall cracking after couple of years?

Wettlaufer is a dudes name Terrace is kinda like a cresent but it begins on one street and ends on another one.
