The question I have can probably be answered by Colin or someone else on town council.

For the Intercorp houses located on Savoline just south of Main St, how do we know if there should have been air conditioners included with those houses because the houses are located on a main street. Is it affected by any noise bylaws or was there a study done, as other developments have air conditioners included if houses are on a main street due to the noise.

If anyone on council can answer this that would be great as I can see the builder not mentioning this if they don't have too. I searched the milton website but could not find anything.

Hi Zazkar

Based on the attached technical report approving the Intracorp Homes area central air conditioners were not required as the noise study did not find any locations that would require them due to the set backs and the estimated traffic numbers along Savoline Blvd.

There's a public meeting tonight. Doesn't directly impact us in terms of the immediate vicinity but will affect our traffic congestion getting to "downtown" or those of us who catch the GO train I think.

When Monday, 16 Apr 2012
Where Town Hall-Council Chambers-150 Mary St., Milton

Subject: Public Meeting and Initial Report – Proposed Amendment to the Zoning By-law by Mr. David de Sylva (GreenLife West Condos) to permit the development of one six-storey condominium apartment building on lands municipally identified as 3074 Main Street West.

Anyone recommends a good place to buy new lighting fixtures ( ceilings) the mainfloor ones are so depressing looking, oh my.

Hi maybemilton - George at Milton Lighting has a good selection of light fixtures. He's at 295 Main St. in behind Troy's Diner. :)

FYI - Second public input session

Scott Neighbourhood Park North and Indian Creek Trailhead

Scott Neighbourhood Park North will be developed on a 6.0 hectare parcel of land at the western gateway to urban Milton at Tremaine Road and the newly aligned Main Street. The park will be framed by views of the Niagara Escarpment to the west and Indian Creek to the east. The park has the potential to be a prominent sports park; possible amenities may include a soccer field, two softball diamonds (lighting to be confirmed), multi-use courts, playground area, park shelter and informal and formal landscape plantings. Multi-use trails will provide pedestrian links between park amenities, as well as to and from the site. A portion of open space to the south of Main Street at Indian Creek will also be designed in conjunction with this park.

Funds have been approved for a detailed design concept in 2012. Public consultation will play a key role in the final design of Scott Neighbourhood Park North and Indian Park Trailhead.

An inital public input session was held in March 2012 to provide the opportunity to meet with staff and review the design development.

Public Input Session
Members of the public are invited to provide feedback at a second public input session on proposed park design concepts for the development of Scott Neighbourhood Park North and Indian Creek Trailhead, to be located at Tremaine Road and the newly aligned Main Street:

Tuesday, May 8, 6:00 - 8:00 pm
Presentation: 7:00 pm
Milton Sports Centre, Optimist Room
605 Santa Maria Blvd.

If you are unable to attend, design concepts will be posted online following the public input session, with the option to submit comments through an online survey.

Guys, just a quick plug for John from closetsbyjohn.ca. Considering the sizes of our master bedroom closets, he did an amazing job at an AMAZING price. Highly recommended.

hi all and welcome to the neighbourhood!
Nice to see more homes being closed and new neighbours starting to settle in.
I was driving on Savoline today and noticed that a lot of the Home For Sale signs have been changing to For Lease signs....wondering why the trend for that? Also have any homes sold yet? Hope soon!
Anyone here moving to lot #40, 41, 42 or 43? We may be backyard neighbours!

No idea. Grass would be first. it will be after the curbs as well.

I just talked to one of the workers this morning while I was out having my morning coffee. He told me curbs begin getting put in May 14.
