I'm taking part in a fundraiser that Milton Mall is organizing a fundraiser in connection with its nationwide food bank promotion. For our local fundraiser the money goes to our own local Salvation Army Khi Community Food Bank here in Milton.

As part of this competition 7 council members will compete to see who can raise the most money. We’ll make mocktails and you’ll vote for our mocktails by donating $2. You can vote as many times as you like. Each $2 donation is like your giving on evote, so if you donate $20 it's 10 votes. If you donate more than $25 then you will receive a tax receipt.

On May 12th between 11am to 2pm at Milton Mall you can sample my Mocktail (I'm calling it Ryan's Drink as he helped select the ingredients). But please don't wait until the 12th!! You can vote in advance online right now by simply going to http://www.miltonmocktails.com and making a donation for my drink. If donating over $25 please remember to give your full address so I can ensure you get a tax receipt.

Using an innocent child? That's low man, that's below the belt.

You'd rather have me name the drink after myself? I'd feel too egotistical. This way we get to have fun together. It's much easier to do things if I can bring Ryan with me otherwise I have Nicole home along with two kids while I'm galavanting around town. But I know your (a) partially pulling my leg and (b) just hugely jealous because you didn't think of registering miltonmocktails.com first and creating your own donation page :P

We went to the grocery store and picked out possible ingredients and then spent a day "experimenting" with different items to come up with our current concoction.

So please help our local food bank in Milton by making a charitable donation at http://www.miltonmocktails.com for this fundraiser. Any contribution would be welcome!! Any donations of $25 or over will receive a charitable tax receipt.

Are you saying people who name their drinks after themselves are egotistical (HINT CLUETT COOL AID)? Perish the thought.

Thanks to everyone who donated so far to the Mocktail competition and especially for those who decided that CLUETT COOL AID is the way to go :)

For every donation over $25 received I will make arrangements (probably host an event) for the serving of the NON Mocktail version of my drink (or any other drink for that matter)

Game on boys!!! I would normally say let the BEST Mocktail win, but with COLIN in the competition, its time to refresh yourself with a little CLUETT COOL-AID! :)

Ack! My thread's being hijacked ;-)

Please go to http://www.miltonmocktails.com and help support our local Milton Food Bank by making a charitable donation. Everyone who donates will be welcome to come to Milton Mall on May 12th (Saturday) and have a free Cocktail personally served by either myself or Ryan.

HIJACK Complete.

ORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR....you can go to http://mikecluett.ca/2012/05/mocktail-c ... lton-mall/ and find the same details. You CAN support more than one by your donations either before or on the day of May 12th.

To the person who gives the largest donation for CLUETT COOL AID they will get a bottle of my specially made wine ... Oddly enough named CLUETT COOL AID (its Pinot Noir but whos checking :) )

As we seem to be in bribe-mode now for donations I'll pitch in :)

For the largest donation on http://miltonmocktails.com I'll let them be a moderator online here for a week OR a free banner on the site for a month or a couple free games of Epic Lazer Tag one evening on me (whichever of the 3 you prefer).

Its not a bribe...its a reward! Your "prize" to be a moderator is more of a punishment...like TAXES instead of a reward. :)

I'll throw in some freshly baked buns WITH butter.

Make it some kind of awesome cheese selection and you'll get my interest.

Can I just make a donation without having to show up? With the good weather, satudays are dedicated to golf, not watching 300 year old people battle for parking in the Zellers lot.

Absolutley. You can make arrangements with any of the people involved and donations over 25 you can get a tax receipt.

(REMEMBER CLUETT COOL AID) :)

Participants are: Mayor Gord Krantz, Councillors Colin Best, Rick DiLorenzo, Mike Cluett, Zeeshan Hamid, Cindy Lunau & Greg Nelson. I'm not sure if Rick, Mike, Colin and Zeeshan should be separated by having one of the less vocally competitive councillors placed between them or if we just go for a free for all. Or, maybe Greg is planning to serve his mocktails while bungee jumping from our skylights...make sure you come out and enjoy the craziness we are sure will take place.
