Nope, no call yet. Waiting, going back and forth thru the booklet, adding, deleting... re-adding.

For the payment, is it due during the selection process? I am looking at paying upfront, but hope that it will be withdrawn later in the year... paying for upgrades now that won't be installed in a house that isn't yet started a year in advance?!

Let us know how it goes.

Drove by on the weekend, there is activity! They have some roads formed, and are laying sewage pipes. Didn't take any photos though, next time.

Got the site map. We have street names now. I just got my map and here is what I found from my site map.

Street B = Bessborough Drive.
Street C = Gleave Terrace.

hi imsnwish, how was your design appointment? we have not received any call as of date. i sent already an email to paul bolta.
nice to know that we are getting street names. how about the sidewalk, would you know where it will be on Gleave Terrace?

thanks.

This is our fist home so it was little intimidating to go through all the choices but we were prepared and our design consultant was also very helpfull. Overall we made couple of changes within 7 days.

Sidewalk is on west side of Gleave terrace.

From my lot map, it is for sure on south side. I am not sure about the north side. Call your customer rep and he/ she would be able to tell you exactly.

We only had one design centre appointment and we picked everything there except the exterior brick color ( I believe the brick color will be picked at sales centre as a sparate apoointment. Be prepared and make a list of all the items that you are looking for. The desingner will walk through strandard stuff but more likely will not review any small stuff like extra pantry, delete bulkhead, extra outlets or stuff that may not be in the booklet but may be available if requested. Read what you can do after closing and what is must or cheaper through builders. We were $3K over mattamy $5K bonus by just adding garage door, half pantry, microwave shelf, rail and picket inlieu of knee wall and standard stairs stain along with few small upgrades. We are planning to do most of the upgrade after closing.

Start list of all the question that you have and send a note to your designer before your appointment so that you have all the information that you need before the day.

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know what side of the street the sidewalk is on for - Street G (Bessborough Drive). Thanks Imsnwish for the street name. Also we are first time buyers and were wondering what we have to pick out for the first Design Centre appointment? And when do we pick out the exterior? Thank-you so much. Its so nice to talk with our new neighbours. We are getting excited.

SO we have names of 3 streets so far

Street B = Bessborough Drive.
Street C = Gleave Terrace.
Street G = Cedric Terrace
Street D = Mortimer Street

Our mail box is on Bessborough Drive (Street "B") between lot 20 & 48

Anyone got the name of Street E & F?

Edited: Street "D" name addded

Hello Neighbors,

We bought LOT 115 and just completed our Design Center Appointment.

The Street Name given by our Design Consultant was Cedric Terrace for Street G.

The Side walk is on our side which we don't mind and the Mail box will be right across Lot 116, very close to us as well just across. :)

We are so glad to be done with the upgrades...

Good luck with your upgrades neighbors.

We picked our bricks last weekend. I didn't take some picture of the packages but was able to find some pictures on internet. Not sure about the actual color comparison to the website.

Also had our exterior selection last week, and today finished off the interior selection... We are lot #53 on Street C which translates into 249 Gleave Terrace. Not sure if anyone else noticed, but Gleave being a vet, there is a poppy at the front of the street sign. Nice symbolic gesture. Next stop, Mattamy U...

My fiance and I (getting married July 21st!!) purchased an Oakwood widelot townhome... Mortimer Street (street D), block 131, lot 2. There are only 3 homes in this block, all Oakwoods. Should be an interesting look.

We do have a sidewalk on our side which I believe to be a benefit as it will make the front of our home farther from the street. We saw an Oakwood model with no sidewalk and the front was only about 5 feet from the street.

Any others out there on Mortimer?

The Village Homes will be across the street. I am currently in a Cherrywood model of a Village Home. Will miss my little deck but looking forward to having more room!

Purchased in Oct/11, closing Jan 16/13.

Looking forward to meeting all of our new neighbours!

Thanks, newhomebuyer01.

We had previously looked at the Lewiston and the Linwell, but the Oakwood worked the best for us. We LOVE to cook and a big kitchen was really important to us but we really have no need for a separate dining room.
We plan on staying in this house until we retire so are looking at it as a good investment.
Curious to see what the pricing will be like when they release another phase of these homes.
I purchased my Cherrywood Village home in 2008 for $219,900 and they now are going for $281,990 prebuilt.
We had a look at the area last weekend. The roads are paved, sewers are in and street signs are up.
Hopefully they will be putting in the foundations soon to get things rolling!

Hello Neighbours!

I was just at our site yesterday! Hooray! It's great to see that the streets are already paved and our street signs are up. Very exciting. My boyfriend and I have purchased on Mortimer Cres.

I look forward to meeting all of you some day!

We purchased in Nov. 2011 and our closing day is not until April 2013. :P

I love all the information that everyone has been sharing, it has been very useful.

I currently live close to Milton and also have family and friends there as well. Whenever I go up next I can take some pictures and share them with all of you.

Great to meet you all

Take Care
