Nature's Backpack offers summer day camps for 8-12 year olds, where you will enjoy fun and educational experiences that develop a sense of awareness for nature, your surroundings and yourself. Our experienced staff will embark on a journey filled with fun games, activities, team-building exercises, nature education while helping youth learn their place in their community and nature.
Join us for our second season of exploring natural spaces in Halton. This day camp is full of exploring our natural environment, discovering natural mysteries and connecting to each other and our land. Throughout the week we'll be focusing on different themes of the day from learning about plants and trees, mammals and wildlife tracking, wandering and exploring and learning the language of the forest, wilderness survival, firemaking, primitive skills and medicinal and edible wildplants and so much more.
These themes are taught through natural play, games, activities, story telling, wanderings, crafts and wilderness skills and through song.
This camp is at the beautiful Burns Conservation Area in Halton, located northwest of Campbellville
