I've got the ground floor carpeting rolled up, just need to wait for the basement to dry enough to put them down there :P Will post pics of the during and after process.

Dan, we ended up going with main floor + 2nd floor hallway in Gotham. Baroque was a bit too dark for our tastes, although it looked very elegant. Can only imagine the amount of swiffering if we got that though!

JDV, I can't quite recall the name of our tile off the top of my head, but as I understood, it was a bathroom tile that we got throughout the ground floor. I'll take a gander through the purchase agreement and post.

Yep - the shower enclosure is a builder upgrade. Our cabinets are Wenge I believe, which were a standard colour/style.

^^^ One persons "worth it" may be "not worth it" to another person - very subjective. Personally, I feel that the bathroom feels much larger and much less... clausterphobic with the enclosure. I think ours was around that price. You can try to do it after closing but I have a feeling it'll cost a lot more than $2094.

Thanks guys :) Yes, they're Vintage floors - Hand scraped 5" planks I believe.

Love the fact that we don't have those super-duper-fuzz-generating carpets anymore, but our swiffer budget just went through the roof :D

What a great job, you must be so happy! Never apologize for pictures of any kind, we're eating them up. Just got our invite to Mattamy U, we're looking forward to it. Did you find it worth you while?

:) When the house is actually clean, maybe i'll snap some better pictures then.

Personally, I found MattamyU to be a worthwhile adventure. Despite being one of two families in attendance for our street (they divide up the tables by street), we got to mingle with our builder/asst builder, the warranty manager, etc. I'm not insinuating bias, but if you can make a long-lasting impression on the people there, I find they're more likely to remember your requests later down the road.

They did go over some elementary points about home ownership in Milton, setting up utilities, things to look out for, a little horn-tooting for themselves, then an "open questions" period for those in attendance.
