Dell has a basic laptop for 680 retail. The Inspiron 1300.

If you want I can contact my sales rep and see if he can beat that price.

if your going or know someone thats going to the states I seen laptops advertised (new) for $199.00.

Keep in mind what you buy in the US also has a US warranty. Problems? Take it back there.
