I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank Century 21 for helping me with the transition over the past few months, (great people over there!). I built some great friendships, brought on help for a few joint listings when my plate was full, and had the privilege of working with some really good people.
Now that I've had a little time to research where I really want to be, and what I need from a company to keep my service level at its highest for my clients, the big names here in town just didn't seem to fit for me personally - they are indeed great for many great Realtors, definitely have a lot of upside, but I needed a little something different, while keeping a local presence here in Milton. (This is a personal decision understanding that everyone has a different fit - there are many good options in this town!)
After a LOT of research, a lot of feedback from many of YOU (thank you to those that I discussed this with!), I have made the move to iPro Realty
"i WHAT? WHO IS iPro??"7 offices in the GTA, 300+ agents, and a very strong core.
They're not just another small name brokerage - the owners actually ran a Sutton franchise for a LONG time, and they had the desire for change as well, started up iPro, a full service, but local GTA brokerage, breaking away from the traditional franchise model (no different franchise branches under the same brand - all 7 offices work under the same company, as a cohesive unit, and powerhouse source for the agents). Exactly what I needed, paired with the freedom to run my own business, with my own marketing, commission plans, and personal touch.
All that aside, what drew me to them among many things was that some of their admin staff has been with the owners for OVER 20 years - it really shows how cohesive the core is, how well they work together, and they've been great to me so far!
WHAT NEXT?Before the grand opening of the Milton office is announced, I am hitting the ground running with the Brentridge posted on here, a great gulf detached, and coming very soon will be a Powell on a pie lot, a Heathwood detached gem, a Pottington on a quiet crescent, and a stunner on a huge lot just a few minutes out of town.
Thanks again to those of you who provided feedback during my research, it was an overwhelming majority of you that said the agent matters most to them, and that you buy into ME as a service provider more than the company name - times are changing, and you helped me confirm that the majority of our generation agrees. Believe me, I wrestled a lot with the big name vs small name brokerage, especially after the whole Brekland story, but I think I found the perfect middle ground for myself and my clients in iPro. Service, Stability, and Support (wow that actually sounds scripted, sorry hehe).
Once I get settled into the new office, you're all more than welcome to drop in to say hi anytime! I need to furnish and stage it first.. where are all my tall green planters??
