Hello,
any time I posted IT questions here I have had lots of good ideas so here it goes.
Is anyone sharing outlook calenders (2 of them) using outlook 2008 and able to share them with a Mac running Office for Mac and an Iphone?

Basically I have a situation where an administrator books items in one of 2 calendars for the operations manager. The problem I am having is that their e-mail is outsourced so there is no exchange server. The administrator is using Windows 7 with Office and the operations Manager is using an Iphone and a Mac. The mac will only synch one calander apparantly.
Just wondering if anyone has a similar situation and how did you address it?

Thanks
Matt

I think you need an exchange backend for calendar sharing. The Mac has sync tools to synchronize stuff between Outlook and Mac apps like mail and iCal (Calendar depending if you have Mountain Lion installed). But your problem appears to be what is on the backend. I assume when you mean outsourced, it's just your ISP's pop mail server?

On second thought, can the Admin send an invite to the other user that the other user can accept? I know this is backwards from having the Admin book things directly into the other users calendar on their behalf. Sending an invite might be the only way. The other user should receive a .ICS file in the invite email that they can accept and open up in iCal. If they are running iCloud then it should sync across their iPhone and Mac, but likely needs them to be running Mountain Lion.

OK sorry for the late update. I went onsite yesterday and the issue is smaller but still important. Apparantly the Office for Mac will not synch with his Iphone. So you open outlook, do all your calander stuff, but then you need to drag it from outlook to your I-cal, save it there, then it will synch to your iphone. Trying to find a work around other then using the Native Mac Mail and Calander.

This might be something to chew on or at least get you in a general direction to search for other stuff.....
