Sorry, I couldn't find a thread on this so I have to ask. What are they building on the corner of Louis St. Laurent and Bronte?

Hi rrknight.

Not really when you consider that there will be about 8000 new homes under construction in 2-3 years time south of this new high school which is designed to cover the west side of urban Milton. There is currently about 1000 new homes in the area under construction.

Bishop Reding High school which is the only Catholic High School serving the Milton area was built in 198,7 14 years before the homes were built that surround it now full, and has 35 portables for 2012-13.

Check out the attached link for the Boyne survey and scroll down for the maps of the area for more details including the 8 elementary and two new high school sites already approved by the Town in the secondary plan. (The province already knows about them when they approved the new official plan in 2011).

Check both school board web sites for more information on new school construction and boundary changes.

ps. rpauls, Bronte road becomes Highway #25 in Oakville north of Dundas Street. Bronte St. in Milton only extends from Steeles Avenue to Britannia Road. west of #25.

Good point rpauls. South east corner of Bronte Street and LSL is the high school.

I could easily be mistaken but aside from the road and drainage construction work, and the homes construction on the north west corner I don't remember seeing anything else going on at Hwy 25 and LSL intersection. Colin "admin and planning encyclodia" Best no doubt can correct me if I'm wrong :) .

Another question, what are they building down in the creek area of LSL right near hwy 25? Are they twinning the bridge?

Twinning the bridge and the roadway. I think right now they're working on adding storm sewers.
