Does anyone know of a women's shelter in town? I have a bunch of lotions/creams/soaps that have not been used and don't want to throw them out. I thought this would be a good place to donate them rather than taking them to the GoodWill or whatever.

Thanks :)

Bless your heart! That's so kind & thoughtful of you. Nice to read about people's "good intentions" for a change. So refreshing!

Isnt it in the complex with the police station? Pretty sure I had a friend stay there for a couple of weeks a few years back.

I'm showing my age but so did I, probably because of a guy called Soupy Sales who was a washed up comic on the game shows. lol

I'm a guy and people just assume I'm a female.

You're right...I'm not.
Did your kiddies ever get their PS or Wii? There was a couple more for sale on FB.

I found it! It seems like a nice facility. I was kind of put off because I had to take my donations to the back and leave them outside. There was a big box of toys there that were getting wet in the rain....sad that those will get ruined...or some of them anyways.

I was just going to ask if they took toys because we have so many to give. Even though we know were all good people it makes sense that they wouldnt really just allow anyone in for safety sake.

Glad you started this post Soupy its a good reminder to donate to people in need withiin our own community :)

No, I didn't care that I had to go in the back....I just felt bad for those toys...or the kids taking them.

There are actually three big green boxes there where you can donate things. Then the ones closest to the building, you can put donations beside them. There was a box of toys and you can donate toys in those green bins too. I'm not sure if they go to the Women's shelter, but they are there.
