Just finished our PDI.

Mattamy has done a great job again, first house was also Mattamy and lived there 5 years without any issues, everything was done according to our specifications a few minor things nothing major. Only our countertops are delayed so we could'nt see them :(

But the rest of it looks gorgeous:) looking forward to moving in and meeting all the great neibours!!!

It's not so bad. They should be pouring the curbs soon, after which they'll use the soil pretty quickly to grade everyone's lots. Grass and driveways will follow. My assistant builder indicated we'll have driveways and lawns done sometime in October--they're just waiting on curbs, which can't go in til brickwork is done on the homes on this side of the street.

Wekve had quotes from 2-3 suppliers. Should be deciding over the weekend. Are you thinking wood or vinyl?

Star Custom Shutters (who we will probably go with) have a 8 week wait for wood and 5 months for vinyl. I suggest getting a quote asap if you are in a rush.

KC Blinds and Shutters are amazing. Contact them to see if there is the same kind of delay (lots of positive feedback for them on this forum - and myself).

Yesterday the center part of Syndenham Lane was getting their curbs done. I am guessing the outside will be today.

As far as I can tell, they are setting the curbs and not the sidewalk ... but I could be mistaken. I will keep you posted if I see something different in the next few days.

E&N, I swung by today and the curb is in on the street and it appears that they are slowly installing the sidewalk as well. They were still working on it as I drove by at 5:00 pm.

Some driveways are getting paved this week. Grass should be following in the next few weeks.

That's how inner streets usually are. We tried our best to predict where the sidewalk would be, ended up getting it right!

Had our PDI today with Rocky. Very good experience, he was pleasant and took all of our concerns into consideration.

That said we now have one week before we take possession.

Here's hoping they do some exterior grading before I take possession of the house, otherwise the kids will be wearing boots around the yard for quite some time.

Grass is being put down on Syndenham lane this week. We just got our back yards done, front should be done in the next 2 days.

Yay!

Syndenham Lane here we come. We finally get our keys tomorrow! :)

We will not be moving in immediately as we need to make sure everything is ready for the kiddies first.
