Guys careful with what you write here, police are cracking down on online bullying bigtime in the GTA.

Discussion in a public form does not constitute bullying. There is no regular intimidation or harassment of anyone here other than maybe NIT

I can tell you if someone goes to the police with a printout of a post and says they feel they're being cyber bullied, the police are told to investigate. Due to recent events in the news, they're not ignoring any complaints. Take it for what its worth.

That's a good thing if it's a little girl being harassed to the point she is suicidal, but there is a clear difference between a child who is being tormented and some adult idiot making a post and having their ass handed back to them.

Comes down to context essentially.

This woman chose to make these items public.

Why would have anyone not have the balls to say this to her face? Best example are all of the posts on the Toronto Star article where she herself posted, and plenty of people continued to disagree with the point.



So if someone goes and becomes the centerpiece of a news article, it shouldn't be talked about?

She’s not exactly doing the reality TV circuit here, so I disagree. To each their own. For myself, I’m just going to avoid looking at this thread any longer.

Read back page by page and look at the dates on the posts. This thread died a couple times, it only resurfaces around media events.

My guess is that for her it's easier to be in the middle of a lot of attention rather than being alone. It's a coping mechanism that she is the driving force behind.

No one here is arguing how horrific it would be in her position, but maybe we on H.V. are indirectly enabling her by discussing the errors in her logic/argument. The media is directly enabling her, it's a sensational story, "The poor widow (does she count as being a widow even thought hey were getting divorced? Or just really lucky?) and grief stricken mother going up against the government."

My only worry is that she is going to unintentionally expose herself to embarrassment and pain by fighting a loosing battle "on principle."

A couple of people were kinda bullied off the forum not too long ago...actually, bullied is a strong word...but they were driven from the forum. sh*t gets real sometimes and that's not something to be taken lightly. We should all be careful what we say cause we never know what could come of it.

It got pretty real for the mother who lets her son go to school dressed like a girl.

Whether he's back or not wasn't my point...my point was that sometimes, what we post online can come back and bite us in real life and really, who needs that crap?!?
