It might be Christmas carolers though. Surely some things are worth peeling one's ass off the couch and putting the bon-bons down for a few minutes, no?

I agree with Cactus Jack... It's nice to see that people still get the true meaning of Christmas... there is nothing wrong with asking for donations to give to those in need... You are welcome to ring my doorbell anytime Family Matters...

Prepare to have the cops called on you a dozen times, judging by previous posts by these excessively paranoid villagers. Good luck, i just donated a ton of stuff at the grey cup!

Not my hood tonight but I'd love to see something like that, as would my own children. That sounds beautiful and cute. Honestly, it would make my Christmas.
Howza bout we PM you if we would like to participate. Then your guaranteed a trunk load and the girls will have a great experience.
Thanks for doing this BTW.

Having not grown up in Green Gables, carolers are something my husband and I have never experienced so if some showed up at our door, we wouldn't answer cause we'd automatically assume it's either some door to door salesman or another equally annoying human being. Plus we have 2 dogs, one of which loses her marbles when the bell rings...people tend to run from our front door when she starts. Nothing to do with asses, couches and\or bon-bons but thanks for the concern.

They're welcome at our place. Will have plenty of canned goods to donate should they come by.

It's a shame some people are such losers. Best of luck Family Matters.

HI Everyone!
I went out with the girls last night..wow! I couldn't believe the response..
People were kind and generous and they applauded, cheered and commended the girls for their efforts. That's exactly the community that I was pretty sure I was a part of! The girls collected lots of cash donations in their little Salvation Army Kettle! They also collected a box and half of food donations, which some people actually had ready at the door waiting for the girls! What an absolutely beautiful experience! Thank you so much everyone..
Anyone with kids who would like to participate, the girls are recruiting! PM ME! Also, if you would like to donate and would like to hear a sweet carol for it , PM me and we will be sure to hit your place!

The girls planned last night to hit one of the bigger grocery stores also on a Saturday afternoon. Details to follow! Thanks for the idea!
