My family and I created team JR MAK Sunshine to fundraise and bring awareness to MS. In August 2011 my nephew Matthew the "M" in JR MAK Sunshine was diagnosed with MS at the age of 17. MS came to us unannounced and without warning and shook our family to its core. The other letters in our Team represents Matthews cousins. We set our annual goal after each MS Walk and fundraise until the next walk. To date we have raise approx 48k and our goal for May 2014 is 30k. Our fundraising dollars have been used for research efforts and to support people living with MS in our community. Most importantly it has given hope to our team and family.
Please come out to the Beer Store on Maple Rd in the Longos plaza on Saturday January 25, 2014 from 1 to 4pm and donate your empty beer and wine bottles. We can pick up as well. Please PM me.
