I was wondering if anyone has ideas on how to cover up the two arched windows in the front of my home on a budget. Here is a pic of what I'm talking about...

Unfortunately one of the windows will be in my 2 year old new room when we move her from the nursery to make room for baby number 2 and I really want to cut down the light in there so it doesn't get so freaking hot in the summer since we get afternoon sun.

window film. there are different types at the home depot so you can tint it or frost it, the frost will give you privacy but still allow light through.

We have arched windows in 1 of the bedrooms and we have 3 arched windows in our livingroom. We keep them uncovered.

We had the same problem. Home Depot has thin sheets of wood along the back wall by the saw. The stuff I used is like peg board material without the holes(not sure what they call it). It comes it 2'x4', white veneer on one side, bare on the other. I've got a seam in the middle but with an accurate cut it's not noticeable. I just wedged it in place, but if I siliconed it in, there would be no light whatsoever.

Easier to just buy an 8x4 sheet, that way you won't have a seam in the middle.
