Sounds like my experience 10 yrs ago when I had to replace the furnace at my old house. Looked at high efficiency at the time but price difference between that and mid efficiency was huge and no way could be made back with energy savings. Since then mid efficiencies have phased out and pricing on high is not as predatory now as it was then. Hope the same trend happens with these diesels in 3 years or so when I retire.

I'm hoping for it all ten+ years since we are in Canada.
Cut all family travels on the road, few years ago, because here is no cost effective alternative for family oriented vehicles.
And in Europe they sell Dodge Journey with 2L diesel.
