Was confronted by one crossing Clark @ 4th Line, very early this morning, using the walking paths. When he spotted me, he turned and came straight at me. Using the "make bigger", "walk backwards" and "make noise" routine, he stopped in his tracks about 50 ft. away. Turned around and was joined by a mate. Both then casually trotted down the walking path and disappeared. This path is used by kids and adults alike. This spotting/confrontation was my third at the same spot in the last 6 months. Always around 5 or 6 am.

Beautiful animals, but please stay away from me.

This incident should be reported to the MNR, because the coyote showed signs of aggression by walking towards you. Had you not known what to do or if you were a child things could have drastically change.

Great. Now I can’t even let my kids wander the paths around my house at 5 AM. What is this town coming to?

^^^ The time of day or night doesn't make a difference
Coyotes are most active at dusk and dawn but they are also out in day light hours
2 nights ago we had one on our property at 7:30pm
About two weeks ago we had on on our property around 9am
And just before Christmas we spotted two walking in our backyard at 1pm

The fact that it turned around and walked towards Foreveryoung is showing aggressive behavior. The coyote should have left immediately when it saw Foreveryoung.
When I open my backdoor they run away they do not attempt to walk towards me

Coyotes have been increasing brave this past year, more sighting and encounters on property have been noticed by people in the rural communities
It is possible that the coyotes population has grown and they are low on food supply.

Something that MNR will follow and track

Don’t get me wrong, I agree with calling MNR to report it. An aggressive wild animal needs to be removed from the area.

But I’m not big on ringing the alarm bells and getting all “protect the children” about it.

I live in that area. I’ll go out and kick one tonight. Let em know whos turf they’re on.
