What?

Transitional housing is designed to be a bridge from the short-term emergency shelter system (often as little as 30 days in duration) to long-term affordable housing. With Milton Transitional Housing, this “transitional” period can extend from four to 24 months and offers housing at subsidized rental rates, along with requiring participants to set goals and undertake counselling and training to help achieve their goals.

How?

Fund raising is a major factor in being able to provide this service.

Our next event is the Coldest Night of the Year Walk on Feb. 22 2014. Join us if you are interested in walking, or if you can support us in any way.

It's a fun, family friendly event that will raise money so that we can help those in housing crisis. Teams of walkers will do a 2K, 5K or 10K evening walk through parts of Milton from 5 pm to 8 pm. Each team will have a fundraising goal. The funds will go toward rebuilding and reshaping the lives of the participants in our program.
