Maybe I'm a little biased since I use to live in them, but I didn't find the Bronte apts as bad as everyone makes out, yet they seem to be the most talked in reference to Milton slums.
Seldom do I hear mention of Commercial & Derry, El Primo apts, Millside Dr, the apts above Brydens, or the places on Steeles west of Main (south side near Peru Dr), but to me, those are more sketchy than 122 Bronte St S.
What's the worst place in town?
So if it's an affordable apartment complex it's a slum? The only thing that seems like a slum in Milton to me are the townhouses on Steeles/Peru and some of the cheap/subsidized apartments/housing on Main St (eg. above Brydens and the house between Vitality Yoga and Bombay Grill)
Also, at $210,000-$320,000 a condo (not including condo fees), I don't think you're going to be seeing too much riff raff at Maple Crossing. They're suckers, but they're middle to upper class suckers.
And if you look at the website for the Bronte apartments, they look pretty nice inside. Bonus: they're made of bricks instead of wood.
