Maybe the cheap grades of Chinese or Indian steel they've used in these things (you know, to control costs) is beige in colour, and not grey. Maybe it only looked like wood from the street. Huh? Tricked ya.

Pffft. I call nonsense on that. If sprawl was such a concern, we've be sprawling towards Mississauga to connect with the bigger picture instead of out towards the escaprment - further away form the city.

In fact, if sprawl was such a concern, none on us should even really be here in the first place.

All the sprawl issue and the greenblet plan has done is helped inflate home prices and encourage builders to cram us into tighter and tighter spaces - for more money - under the guise of there not being any more space left.

Yikes-i wonder how the other houses that didn't sell feel. Not a fan of more houses, hopefully Colin can add his views. Also not sure what is happening to the EC drury site.

Just drove past this row. All but one or two of the condemned houses have been flattened.
Looks like a sad scene, I'm not optimistic about this. One more approach to town about to be turned into sh*t.

Few questions kill a thread faster round here than inquiries regarding the E.C Drury site. I'll test my theory and bump your question lacoste3.

So if it's an affordable apartment complex it's a slum? The only thing that seems like a slum in Milton to me are the townhouses on Steeles/Peru and some of the cheap/subsidized apartments/housing on Main St (eg. above Brydens and the house between Vitality Yoga and Bombay Grill)

Also, at $210,000-$320,000 a condo (not including condo fees), I don't think you're going to be seeing too much riff raff at Maple Crossing. They're suckers, but they're middle to upper class suckers.

And if you look at the website for the Bronte apartments, they look pretty nice inside. Bonus: they're made of bricks instead of wood.
