I was on Main Street earlier today and saw a plain looking light grey Dodge Caravan stop a car. All the flashing lights are inside the van so they are not visible when they are not flashing and I was surprised when this "soccer mom van" light up like a christmas tree.

I just thought I would give you a heads up.

PS - No offence to soccer moms. I also drive a Caravan.

I saw a cop on Laurier yesterday in an old GMC Jimmy, lights flashing. He had stopped a car and was writing him a ticket. I guess driving around in older unmarked vehicles is working for them.

I guess while driving we need to mind our "peas & Q's".

My husband got nabbed by one, the van had its hood up so he thought it was just a broken down vehicle... he was doing 7 over or something...
I'm not impressed that if someone (ie. a child) actually NEEDS a cop, these ones that otherwise aren't doing anything are unidentifiable.
These tricks do absolutely nothing to make streets safer, now people are just going to start driving like idiots every time they see a grey Caravan, a lot like when no one would dare pass Crown Victorias on highways for two decades.

Heads up! I saw an unmarked silver ford fusion on Thompson this morning.

I got pulled over last week for apparently doing 80 on Bronte south of Steeles (he showed me the gun). I also initially gave him my expired insurance accidently (I had the current one in the glove box though)

Incredibly, he let me off without a ticket!

Halton Cops are A-O-K in my books!

Yesterday went from Derry/Scott to the library and saw 7 different police cars -- it was practically one every other block.

What is with the sudden heavy presence in this little burg???

If you guys aren't breaking any laws, what do you have to worry about? Or is it only walls you have issues with?

I saw an undercover cop in a small greyish green Kia today. They're getting crafty!

It said on the news they were doing a "safety" blitz this week. More like a heavy cash grab. They are everywhere watch out.

I saw cops hanging out close to the STOP signs and handing out tickets like crazy. People should fight these heavy fines with demerit points. Money grab. People were stopping but apparently not stopping long enough or on the line!!!!!
I'm sure our resources can be put to better use as well as our tax dollars. It is unfortunate.
