Folks! What parental control software would you recommend to be installed in a PC? I'm looking for a free one.

K9 web protection does a very good job and it's free.

What do you want it to do?
For now, we just use Microsoft Family Saftey on the sprog's account on the PC. It filters a bunch of stuff and I get a weekly report of what's been surfed. (Number of page views, percentages, blocked sites, etc)

Anybody think this should be done at the ISP level?
Customization would be done through a webpage.

Might want to look at the Open DNS home/personal package. I believe it's free.

Using OpenDNS for sometime and happy with the free account - filters out all unwanted stuff -- the only thing i miss is time controls.
Family safety is great ..but we also have an old machine with linux (post-xp) ...hence the openDNS.
Cheers.

I want to dedicate an old laptop to Razkids exclusively.
Zero access to anything else. How?
