Door does not shut properly have to lock it to make sure the door stays latched into place.

Look up Koski Glass on Main Street. Maybe they can help. They sell and install windows, doors and do anything else where glass is involved.

something you can try before calling someone

if you look at your strike plate, not the lock portion but the portion where the latch goes in and out of the door, you'll see a metal tab on the stike plate itself

take the strike plate off and bend that wee tab so it'll be more snug

very hard for me to explain with out pictures but i'm hoping you get the idea.

this would only work if the door jamb has enough wood cut out to have room for the latch or be "pushed" further in

I think you posted once about being in the east end of town -- I just fixed a client's front door handle, if you want I can swing by and take a quick look if you'd like... as a neighbour who keeps tools in his car. If it is not an easy fix for me, I think this might be a handyman job instead of a door/glass guy job (based on your description. (Denti is right I assume)
