Ouch!! To think that less than 3 years ago the 4 bedroom 3300 sq. foot Tothburg was going for 390k.

As of 11am this past Monday, there were already 4 people in line (4 chairs marked 1 through 4 at the door). The way they were set up, I don't think they were going anywhere until after the release. Anyone have an update on the line length now?
I dropped by after work today (Friday). The sales office was already closed but was talking to some people in the line on how things were going. There were a good number of people there, I think they said around 25 people on the list, but not totally sure now. They said people started lining up sunday night actually.

As normal they had the price list, lot list, maps, etc all taped to the windows. There did not seem to be that many 36" lot's released.

There was a notice taped to the window telling people in the line to go to Cafe Deda and tell them they were waiting in line for the Mattamy homes to get free coffee.

The people in line seemed to be in good spirits, but of course it's the last night, which is usually the case. i.e. by then you're starting to enjoy your time.

I'm surprised Mattamy didn't send them free pizza or something.

Hi Rick,

Christine and I were actually there today to look around. After a while, someone did come by with free pizza and he said it was courtesy of "hawthornevillager," was that you? :)

aishaali, the area being developed is along Salvoline, south of the first phase, and west from there.

There were about 25 in line, which apparently started last Sunday. The release includes 36',46' and 50' homes, however, there are only about eight 36' lots and all but two lots are marked as Quincy Corners. Premiums ran from 5 (lookout) to 50K (pie shaped lot with greenspace along a portion of the backyard).

As always, it was nice to meet future neighbours =o)!

Yes, I ordered a few from Portabello's and asked them to deliver it to the people waiting in line in front of the sales office.

Oh, I forgot to mention, most of the closings were in March/April 08. We were surprised as this as ours is in May.

I'm guessing that they got ahead of schedule with the mild weather. It could also be the fact that when we purchased, they weren't sure yet whether or not the homes would be built in the factory. Now with the factory up, it seems like more of a sure thing and they can probably build the homes a lot faster.

Joe,
Congratulations! I'm still holding out for phase 14c(or d, or e, or whatever it ends up being by the time they come back over to Derry and Ontario).
