Does anyone know how long the warranty is on windows? My home is just over 2 years. I noticed a problem last summer with the sliding windows not closing all the way and having difficulties latching them. I was going to call Mattamy about it and then I noticed it got better so I thought maybe it had something to do with the weather so I never called as I had nothing to show them. I recently noticed the same problem, having difficulties closing all the way but not all the windows. Perhaps it is the temperature change but I should be able to close the windows!!!!

Any one else experience this problem with the windows that slide up and down? Solutions? Is this warranly?

Good luck, they will just blame it on the moisture or humidity in the house.

We have been through this with them allready

Call them and insist. I had the same problem and they had to come and fix the casing (or the frame, whatever it is called, thats the case around the window, that connects to the frame too) as it was not on 90 degree angles, thus preventing the weendows from properly closing.

Is you sliding panel the same level as the non sliding one? That would mean the casing is to blame.
