Personally I think the glory days as investment are not there. Others may have different views. I am not getting into details but this is personal choice at this time.

Phase 1 was about 2 months ago. No news as to when phase 2 will be but probably in the next 2 months. 30s were going for 415-500 for 1200-2200sqft. I know a few people who bought, the prices were attractive but who knows what they will be for next phase.

Here is some more information on the area.

http://m.cambridgetimes.ca/news-story/6 ... e-go-ahead

http://www.gspgroup.ca/projects/hunt-cl ... hbourhood/

There's nothing currently in the area (schools, retail etc.) The intersection of Hwy 24 and Maplegrove is already extremely busy and is already 10 years behind on widening maple grove. This development will add to congestion. This is an alternative route for many if the 401 is backed to get into Kitchener a back way

They were released end of October, and there were 500-600 People lining up within couple of hours for 87 lots.

In case you're not aware, the province of Ontario is in deep financial trouble and is piling taxes upon taxes on us citizens to make up for their gross mismanagement and loss of billions of taxpayers money. In other words, don't expect them to build any new highways for a very looooong time. They can't even afford to properly look after the highways that we have now.

If you're flush with cash at the moment my suggestion to you would be to NOT BUY NOR INVEST IN REAL ESTATE just yet. This is definitely not a buyers' market and anyone who foolishly buys into it is going to be very, very sorry they did. Don't listen to all the false propaganda out there trying to brainwash you. Do some reading and research the financial markets and think for yourself - don't be a stupid sheep and blindly follow the herd.

For the next couple of years, you would be wise to park your money in some good ETF's or preferred shares to generate some decent returns on your capital. Find yourself a good investment manager for some sound advise and just relax and sleep tight for the next year or two. Just remember: those who laugh last, laugh best!

The registration opened this evening. But was only open for 2 hours. Did anyone manage to register in person?

My goodness that was fast! I would have loved to consider it, but no time for that even lol. You have to be on your A game to get a mattamy.

#76 8) They gave out 250 tickets I think for roughly 110 lots.

Great pricing, well below market value. For phase 1 the lineups were night and day though. Much busier now than 4 months ago.

Do realtors have inside knowledge on when these releases will happen?

not that I am disagreeing with you, but this market has been like this over the last 10 plus years. Everyone thinks how it could turn, may be some serious action from the government so that the borrowing costs increase to a level that this frenetic activity is curtailed.

^^ This topic has been brought up time after time and the facts are and will always be ignored. If you do the research you will find all in what you need to know. This market is locked in on its trajectory.
