Hi,

I am looking for contractors to finish our basement in Milton - of course.

Quality of work is most important and then the cost. I would appreciate referrals from people who have actually worked with their referred contractors and not just 'heard' that they are good.

I am looking for someone to start asap.

Thank you

Just an FYI - I've yet to meet a good, reasonably priced, highly referred contractor who can start right away. Most of my trusted people are booked months (or at least weeks) in advance.

Just FYI - I never said "right away" - you said it. 'I am looking for someone to start asap' means 'as soon as possible' not to be confused with "right away".

usually people interpret when they say ASAP, it is immediate attention. This is the jargon used in the office environment as well when things need to be done quickly. So when I write, I write the full words "As soon as possible" in order to avoid to create an impression that need to be done immediately.

Unfortunately, I cant control peoples' interpretation.

A commonly accepted definition of ASAP is 'immediately, right away, or with a sense of urgency.'

Yes, and getting this done ASAP is my requirement which would be open to discussion once I find the right contractor - 'asap' is subjective, something that is a high priority for me may not be high priority for other.

Common sense always prevails - your mileage may vary

I'm super OCD when it comes to home improvements, and so is the contractor that did my basement. He's extremely detail oriented and uses only high end finishes as his base standards. He's probably booked for a while, but it's worth the wait.

He's awesome. I did my research and for me I wanted quality over timeliness or cost (he's in market rates for a mid-high end basement finish). Anyone looking for the cheap and cheerful 2 week job don't even bother with Dan (in fact he will tell you himself).

ya dan definitely does quality work and goes with the higher end finishes.

the flat panel led potlights he used are top of the line his drywall and paint finish looked amazing,it still blows me away everytime i enter the room
and his use of metal framing, the list goes on.

he is really busy and booked up but call him he will quickly come for an estimate but you will have to wait a bit for the job to start.
