I can't believe how many people are shocked to find out that we are open until 9pm, Monday through Friday. I guess they don't expect independent pharmacies to have good hours.

We are also open 9 - 5 on Saturday. Closed Sundays and Holiday.

I have also seriously considered many times whether we should open on Sundays. I use Saturday as a gauge. Until our doctors started running a walk-in clinic on Saturday mornings a few months ago, we saw precious little traffic in the pharmacy on that day. Weekdays, our doctors leave at 8pm, and the traffic from 8 - 9pm is also negligible.

Having said that, we understand that some of our hours of operation will always be strictly for customer convenience and not particularly profitable. We can only hope that people increasingly choose to use us during those hours so that we can continue to justify them.

I would love nothing better than to convince our doctors to open on Sundays as well. I suppose that may come with time - one never knows.
