I'm with you Carrie, I tried lunch there last week, and wasn't too keen, but tried again when we ordered tonight for the whole family. Still, I couldn't find a fan. Back to China House for us too!

Not bad food, and great delivery times, service, etc. just not my flavour.

Jessica :)

The other day I ordered the chicken fried rice and chicken schezwan and did not like it al all.
They just threw in boiled chicken pieces and peas in the rice and believe it or not in the chicken schezwan I seperated almost half the plate of onions ( since I don't like onions) with remaining portion of chicken, green peppers and carrots....yikes..
Well if I have to drive all the way to Airport and Derry (China Garden) for some spicy chinese then I will.
To each their own taste :)

Trini

Ordered from here last week. Ordered Beef and Bok-choi (sp?), Singapore spicy curry rice noodles, lemon chicken and a few spring rolls. Other than the singapore noodles were a good deal spicier than everywhere in markham, sauga or TO that I've ever had the same dish, the food was really good.

Yes not true chinese food. But good takeout chinese.

Portion sizes were good, and i called ahead and was told a time to pick up. I got there and the food was just being put into a bag for me so I was happy with the speed.

As for the MSG, i didnt notice the MSG "shivers" I get from some places and I thought their flyer said "no msg" on it?

All in all, it is my new standard chinese place in town.

The food was tolerable considering this is Milton! It did have a lot of MSG on it too....
How do you know? Their menu says 100% MSG free?

Wouldn't it be great if their was a public lab out there that for a very small fee you could bring food to them and they could analyze it for content....i.e. give you a report of the ingredient breakdown listing msg, sodium, carbs, fat, protien, water, sugar etc. Proabably too futurastic to hope for.

We tried this restaurant last week and was not impressed at all. The chicken fried rice was overcooked and shriveled up.

My kids hated it .. and they are usually pretty open about chinese food.

Never again!

We went to the restaurant last night and the food was great! I wonder if it depends on what day you go - I know a lot of places where it just depends on who is in the kitchen. We went on a Saturday night and really enjoyed it (especially the general tso chicken).

We should add a poll to this thread and see how many people like it vs. not.
We ordered once and will never go back. I thought it was gross, the kids wouldn't eat it and we were all feeling a little sick later that night. I heard the same from a friend.

I do agree that the open kitchen is nice, and I did find it pricey.

I didn't even get as far as eating the food. All the combos have spring rolls or egg rolls, which I like. However they also all have pork in them, which I don't eat. They couldn't substitute it for veggie spring rolls unless I paid more, and then she started laughing. So I went for subway instead :( Couldn't even get past the service!
