When my neighbour and I asked, the guy would not give his name, so we theorized that it was just a cash grab, or it might have been some guy who just worked cash for them on the side, and the fence guy didn't want to risk ratting him out. It was shady and I didn't like it, but for $40, we were like whatever.

We did our fence a long time ago, but Mattamy suggested we use the company that did the initial survey of the lots as they would be cheaper since they already had the information and would just have to set the corner stakes. It was not a lot of money and it was well worth knowing exactly where our property is.
