I've been caught - janda_mel is but an alias . I heard about the sleepover and am sad that we missed it however we'll all certainly meet at some point!

So a bit about us, I just hit 30 and my wife is a few years behind but catching up fast :? We're currently in the 'old' HV which is a great community but are moving so we can be closer to the escarpment for the mountain-biking [... as well as for other more practical reasons.]

We have a 2 yr old son and a daughter who is 5mths. We also have a live in nanny, Aiyleen, and know there is another family on Potts that has one as well. It would be good to know if there are others in the community so that they may perhaps connect.

the street I had my last house in had at least 15 kids under the age of 6. Every evening they'd come out, parents would sorta block the street with stop signs (to slow cars down) and kids would have a blast.

It seems like there's another such street in making :). I gotta tell ya, it's fun living with neighbors similar to you (in my case, young families).

This would be awesome.

We're looking forward to being in a community where the little ones can grow up and have lots of friends around to play with; we've been a bit transient the past few years.

Hi Rolando and Julie! Pleasure to meet you both. I just fired off a PM.

It's funny we first heard of your family as Debbie was placing the green dot on our lot at the sales centre.

Hi All,

I will be moving to lot # 116 at Fennamore Terrace. It is a Quincy Corner. Good to see my future neighbours.

My closing will be on August 17th 2008. I am currently living in Newmarket.

Hey guys,

I just wanted to say thanks to my 5 surrounding neighbours... Although we were 6th to choose our exterior colour... we still got our 1st choice - the bordeaux something or other...

Roandju (95) ... the cortez is a nice choice, that's what we have now in our current house.

Glad to see that things are off to a good start with the neighbours

I am a hugely into landscaping (rocks, trees, shrubs, water features...), or as my wife would summarize- I enjoy moving 600lb rocks for fun :?

We close on May 28th.

Thanks for the map!

Thanks Solomon,

I must share that I AM ECSTATIC that we bought when we did.

Mattamy reduced the standard lot depths to 90' for the 50' homes and no longer offer any' open to above' great rooms in the new layouts, which was a huge selling feature for me.

The new designs are nice, but I do appreciate the old ones too.

No, these poles are temporary - they supply power to the workers when the homes are being constructed.

Hey all,

I drove by Fennamore this afternoon on a whim and was pretty surprised to see that losts 85 through to 96 have their footings put in which means that foundations will probably be poured over the next 1-2 weeks for these lots; then they'll be moving on the the remaining ones. Here's a shot of a footing in case you're wondering what the heck it is.

Happy to see that things are finally moving ahead.........!

hey we were down there on sunday too...and to our surprise our foundation has been poured!! we are lot #85 on the corner of fenamore and stagg garden. Hopefully they keep on moving and get our homes done on time (or close to it!)

If you guys were there in a VW then we were there at the same time! I was trail blazing on the mound of mud that was on Fennamore.

Everytime my 4 year old catches us watching HGTV, he asks if 'this is our new house'. I am showing him the footings and telling him THAT is our new house Smile.

Zhamid.. I'll fire off a shot of your footing once it's there... Seattle is a long ways away. PM your email address; the image quality is not that great on my treo but it's easy to send a quick photo.

everything here is under like 60 cm of leftover snow... they were excavating some more lots on Fennamore as of Thursday afternoon but the darn diggers got in the way so i couldn't take pictures. I'll be back today.

it's crazy.. once the foundations are in they move super fast. I just finalized my upgrades on Friday and as of then there was no delay.
